Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to architect and scale our talent acquisition function from the ground up. This is a foundational role where you will not just fill open reqs, but will design the entire recruitment engine, mentor our growing team, and be directly responsible for attracting the brilliant minds that will build our future. This role is for a true builder who is as comfortable defining strategy as they are diving into the trenches to source and close top-tier talent, especially within the highly competitive AI/ML landscape.


1. Architect the TA Function:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, process, and framework from scratch.
  • Select and manage our ATS and other recruitment tech stack to ensure efficiency and a best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Establish key metrics (KPIs) and reporting dashboards to measure the health, efficiency, and impact of the recruitment function.

2. Strategic Hands-on Recruitment:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of building our core technology teams—Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and AI.
  • Source and hire Databricks-certified Data Engineers and ML Engineers to meet project and delivery demands.
  • Proactively headhunt, pipeline, and engage with passive talent through sophisticated sourcing techniques (LinkedIn, GitHub, professional networks, etc.).
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with potential candidates and creating a robust talent community.
  • Identify and implement innovative sourcing techniques and tools to attract high-quality talent.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.

3. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with the executive team and department heads to understand their vision, team dynamics, and technical requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and effective hiring strategies.
  • Partner with sales, account & delivery managers to forecast & capture new requirements.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create effective recruitment strategies.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on hiring progress.


Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate):

  • A Proven Builder: You have experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling a high-performing TA function in a fast-paced tech environment (startup/scale-up experience is a major plus).
  • A Player-Coach: You are a hands-on leader who finds energy in both mentoring a team and personally closing complex senior-level roles. You lead by example.
  • A Tech Recruiting Expert: You have deep, hands-on experience recruiting for Data Science, Data Engineering, ML, and AI profiles, including Databricks-certified professionals. You understand the technical nuances and can speak the language of engineers and scientists.


This role requires flexibility to work during some U.S. time zone hours to effectively

coordinate with international stakeholders and candidates.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of recruitment experience of which a minimum of 3 years must be strictly in the Data Science / AI / ML domain.
  • Experience in sourcing and hiring Databricks-certified Data Engineers and ML Engineers.
  • Solid understanding of business acumen, including concepts of utilization, profitability, gross margins, and their impact on workforce planning and hiring decisions.
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and industry trends in the software/IT sector.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri, and Monster.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to align recruitment strategies to business/organizational performance goals.
