Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Required in a manufacturing setting is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards to ensure products meet specifications and comply with all regulatory requirements. This role is critical for safeguarding customer trust, minimizing waste, and driving continuous improvement.

Role Description

* Develop and Implement Quality Systems: Formulate, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, 5S, Kaizen or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

* Quality Control and Inspection: Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process production, and final products to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.

* Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all manufacturing processes and products adhere to applicable national and international laws, regulations, and health and safety standards (e.g.,ISI,CE,BEE,FDA, CE, RoHS, REACH).

* Auditing and Documentation: Plan and conduct internal quality audits, coordinate with external auditors, and prepare & maintain detailed records, quality reports, and documentation.

* Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis (using tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA), and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.

* Team Leadership and Training: Supervise, mentor, and guide QA/QC inspectors and other staff. Develop and deliver training programs for all employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

* Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce scrap, rework, and waste, and to enhance overall efficiency and product quality.

* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Production, Engineering, Procurement) and liaise with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities on quality-related matters.

* Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, first-pass yield) to track performance, identify trends, and present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

* Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related scientific/technical field is typically required; a Master's degree or relevant experience may also be considered.

* Experience: Proven experience (often 5+ years) in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing environment, ideally with prior supervisory experience.

* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems

(QMS), principles, and methodologies.

*Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools (SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis). Familiarity with relevant industry standards and certifications (ISO 9001, HACCP, etc.). Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) where applicable.

* Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

*Ability to influence change, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
