1. Position Overview
The Quality Head will be responsible for leading the entire Quality Department and ensuring product quality, process quality, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong electrical industry experience, expertise in RCA, VIVA Analysis, audits, and managing customer complaints.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Quality Management
· Lead and manage overall quality operations at the plant.
· Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
B. RCA & VIVA Analysis
· Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all quality issues.
· Prepare and drive VIVA Analysis for repeated issues and process deviations.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
C. Customer Complaint Management
· Handle customer complaints professionally and provide timely resolutions.
· Conduct analysis of customer feedback and take preventive measures.
· Coordinate with production, design, and service teams to resolve issues.
D. Audit Handling
· Lead internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits, process audits).
· Prepare documentation and ensure compliance for certification and recertification audits.
· Close audit NCs (Non-Conformities) with proper action plans.
E. Team & Process Management
· Train, mentor, and guide the quality team.
· Monitor in-process quality, incoming inspection, and final inspection.
· Maintain quality documents, SOPs, inspection reports, and test records.
F. Continuous Improvement
· Implement quality improvement initiatives like 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Lean practices.
· Reduce rejection, rework, defects, and improve product performance.
· Develop and modify quality standards based on market requirements.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of electrical products, transformers, assemblies, wiring, testing, etc.
· Excellent understanding of RCA, CAPA, VIVA Analysis, QC tools.
· Experience in handling ISO audits, customer audits & vendor audits.
· Good communication and leadership skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
4. Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical Engineering (preferred)/ Mechanical
· 7–15+ years of experience in Quality Management in an electrical manufacturing setup.
· Experience as a Quality Manager / Quality Head will be an added advantage.
