Program Strategy & Roadmap Development:
Develop, define, and manage the overall software program roadmap, aligning individual project plans within the program to strategic business goals and the broader enterprise IT vision.
Collaborate with senior leadership, business unit heads, and IT architects to identify software needs, prioritize initiatives, and define program objectives, scope, and key success metrics.
Conduct feasibility studies, business case analysis, and cost-benefit assessments for proposed software initiatives within the program.
Ensure that program objectives and deliverables contribute directly to improved operational efficiency, data integrity, cost savings, or new capabilities within the industrial environment.
Comprehensive Program Planning & Governance:
Create detailed program plans that integrate multiple concurrent projects, outlining interdependencies, resource requirements (both internal and external), timelines, milestones, and budgets.
Establish robust program governance frameworks, including roles and responsibilities, decision-making processes, communication protocols, and reporting standards.
Implement and manage program-level risk management strategies, identifying potential roadblocks, developing mitigation plans, and escalating critical issues to stakeholders.
Oversee program-level change management, ensuring that any shifts in scope, requirements, or timelines are thoroughly assessed, approved, and communicated.
System Integration (SI) Vendor Coordination & Performance Management:
Act as the central point of contact for all assigned System Integration (SI) vendors engaged in the program, from initial engagement through project completion and ongoing support.
Participate in vendor selection, contract negotiation (Statements of Work, SLAs), and onboarding processes, ensuring clear understanding of deliverables, quality expectations, and performance KPIs.
Rigorously monitor and manage vendor performance against contractual obligations, quality standards, and schedule adherence across all program projects.
Facilitate regular operational reviews and strategic sessions with vendors to assess progress, address issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with program goals.
Ensure vendors comply with internal security, architectural, and development standards.
Industrial System Expertise & Integration Oversight:
Leverage a strong understanding of industrial operational processes (e.g., engineering, production, supply chain, asset management) and the software systems that support them.
Specifically, oversee program initiatives focused on:
SAP HANA: Planning and managing projects for SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, integrations, and optimizations to support enterprise resource planning, analytics, and business intelligence.
AVEVA (e.g., PDMS, E3D, PI System, P&ID): Orchestrating projects that integrate AVEVA's engineering, design, and operations information management solutions with other enterprise systems.
AutoCAD (and related Autodesk products like Inventor, Vault): Managing initiatives to integrate CAD data and workflows with PLM, ERP, and manufacturing execution systems for seamless design-to-production processes.
Understand and mitigate common challenges in industrial system integration, such as data quality, legacy system interoperability, real-time data needs, and operational technology (OT) / information technology (IT) convergence.
Internal Stakeholder & Resource Coordination:
Work seamlessly with diverse internal teams, including IT (e.g., Architecture, Development, QA, Infrastructure, Operations), business unit leads, subject matter experts, and end-users.
Ensure internal teams provide the necessary resources, data, technical support, and domain expertise to enable program and project success.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and external SI vendors, acting as a critical bridge.
Provide regular, transparent, and accurate program status updates, forecasts, and reports to executive leadership and all relevant stakeholders.
Quality & Risk Management:
Implement robust quality assurance processes at the program level, ensuring all software deliverables, whether from internal teams or vendors, meet high standards of functionality, performance, security, and usability.
Proactively identify program-level risks and issues, developing comprehensive mitigation and contingency plans.
Oversee the successful transition of completed software solutions into operational support, ensuring documentation and knowledge transfer are complete.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration with a technical focus, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive experience in software program or portfolio management, with a significant track record of managing large-scale, complex software initiatives.
Demonstrated deep understanding of industrial business processes, manufacturing, engineering, or operations, and the associated software ecosystem.
Mandatory proven experience in planning and overseeing programs involving the integration, implementation, or significant enhancement of SAP HANA, AVEVA (e.g., PDMS, E3D, PI System), and AutoCAD.
Expertise in various project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SAFe) and relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CSM).
Strong experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship building with System Integration (SI) partners.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define solutions for complex technical and business challenges.
Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
Proficiency with enterprise-level program and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Planview, Clarity PPM).
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic industrial environment.
Knowledge of industrial data management, IoT, Industry 4.0 concepts, and relevant cybersecurity considerations for OT/IT environments is highly desirable.
