The company is backed by prominent investors including Accel, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Leeds Illuminate, Prosus Ventures, Sequoia Capital India, and Bertelsmann.About Role - As an Associate Director/Senior Manager – Marketing Automation at Emeritus, you will manage our marketing automation platform and leverage its capabilities to design, implement, and optimize impactful campaigns. This role collaborates closely with marketing, sales, and IT teams to enhance customer journeys, streamline processes, and drive measurable outcomes. You will play a critical role in conceptualizing and executing marketing automation strategies, driving consumer engagement, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management : Design and execute cross-channel campaigns, including lead nurturing, webinar engagement, surveys, transactional communications, newsletters, and student/alumni communications.
  • Retention Marketing : Implement strategies for customer retention using WhatsApp, SMS, and email channels to maximize lifecycle engagement.
  • Audience Segmentation : Develop precise audience segments for personalized and targeted campaigns to enhance response rates and engagement.
  • Customer Journey Mapping : Map and optimize customer journeys to deliver seamless and impactful experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Collaboration : Partner with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and IT teams to ensure alignment between automation campaigns and business goals.
  • Performance Tracking : Analyze campaign performance metrics (e.g., open rates, CTRs, conversions) and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Data Activation : Leverage customer data to create highly personalized and relevant marketing strategies.
  • Optimization : Conduct A/B testing and apply data-driven strategies to enhance campaign performance and efficiency.
  • Database Management : Maintain data integrity, ensure compliance with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA), and segment databases for maximum impact.
  • Technology Utilization : Stay informed about industry trends, emerging tools, and competitor activities to identify innovative automation opportunities.
  • Integration Management : Oversee CRM and third-party API integrations for streamlined workflows and data synchronization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Participate in business-wide discussions to integrate marketing automation efforts into broader organizational objectives.
  • Testing and Reporting : Prepare campaign trackers and detailed reports to assess ROI, engagement, and operational efficiency improvements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., NetCore Smartech, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Technical Expertise : CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics tools (e.g., GA4).
  • Channel Knowledge : In-depth understanding of email, WhatsApp, SMS, and push notification channels.
  • Data Management : Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), with experience in managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Privacy Compliance : Familiarity with consumer privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM.
  • Technical Proficiency : Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, and API integration.
  • Collaboration : Must be highly collaborative, results-driven, self-starter, and self-driven.
  • Customer-Centric Focus : Demonstrates strong customer-centricity and commitment to improving user experiences.
  • Exceptional Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of 7–10 years in marketing automation, campaign management, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with email, SMS, WhatsApp and push notification campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional campaigns, enhance customer journeys, and deliver measurable business results.
