Job Description

Reporting to the Head of People for Asia Pacific, the Senior People Business Partner, will be a senior member of the People team in region. This position carries out critical business partnering responsibilities including aligning of global people strategy and serving as a member of Client Delivery Leadership team. Specifically, you will:


  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to the client delivery Leadership team in India, which supports business group in EMEA, North America and APAC.
  • Provide guidance on to COE team (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Reward) and other functionality to support the growing Client Delivery group, bridging the business expectation to COE deliverables.
  • Build broad internal and external partnerships and networks to support organization and line of business on people needs across the entire employee lifecycle
  • Partner with the Tech People Business partner in India and the Senior People Business Partner for COO office to ensure a seamless people partnership experience to your India stakeholders
  • Serve as a key partner on matters employee relations, supporting the business through performance improvement plans, terminations and exit interviewing.
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of best practice global people initiatives – acting as a change agent and champion to embed new tools, programs and processes to improve the employee experience.
  • Manage the performance management and compensation cycle.
  • Deliver insight and data to aid the decision making, in partnership with our Information Analytical team around talent and people needs for the business.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, policies and procedures to ensure the people department is fully compliant for internal and external auditing purposes.
  • Partner with the business to drive employee engagement using the employee engagement tools to deliver insight into how to improve retention and engagement.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and delivery of services performed.
  • Partner with the Head of Client Delivery and the leadership team in develop effective organizational structure ensuring the span and layers meeting company benchmark and simultaneously effective in supporting business deliverables.


Qualifications & Experience


  • A bachelor's degree (or above) with 14+ years of business partnering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources business partnering role in a professional service (ideally from fund/investment services or securities services firm or divisions)
  • Excellent use of data and analytics, including superb Excel skills to build reports and deliver insight.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and PowerPoint creation skills.
  • Professional judgement with sound commercial skills with the ability to manage different scenarios with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Outstanding organization, project management, problem solving with the ability to manage competing demands and multiple projects with resilience and tenacity.
  • Knowledge of India employment law, compensation and benefits as well as performance management. Understanding of Telangana State Practices would be a plus
  • Fluent in English and Hindi is a must, with fluency in Telugu and/or Urdu would be advantageous.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors would be a plus.
