We are seeking a Technical Scrum Master with a strong background in both Agile delivery and technical implementation to lead high-performing development teams. This role blends traditional Scrum Master responsibilities with a hands-on technical focus, including workflow automation, Agile tooling configuration, and the use of metrics to drive delivery excellence. Individuals should have an experience in fostering Agile maturity, removing impediments, and mentoring teams toward self-organization and high velocity. You will work closely with Product Owners, engineering leads, and stakeholders to ensure seamless backlog management and data-driven decision-making.
* Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) with a focus on technical readiness and delivery.
* Act as a technical enabler by identifying and resolving impediments that require tool or process configuration (e.g., JIRA, CI/CD pipeline integration).
* Collaborate with Product Owners and developers to maintain a prioritized, technically sound backlog with well-groomed stories and technical acceptance criteria.
* Configure and optimize JIRA workflows, custom fields, and board settings to reflect evolving team needs and Agile best practices.
* Translate epics into technical stories and tasks in collaboration with engineers and architects; help define and refine sprint goals with measurable outcomes.
* Utilize and maintain Agile dashboards, burndown/burnup charts, velocity tracking, and cumulative flow diagrams to monitor and improve team performance.
* Provide real-time visibility into delivery progress, risks, and dependencies using data from Agile tools and automated reports.
* Standardize ticket quality using templates, Definitions of Ready/Done, and enforce backlog hygiene through technical audits.
* Drive automation of repetitive tasks such as ticket transitions, status updates, and team notifications via JIRA or integrated tools.
* Promote a DevOps-friendly mindset by encouraging technical experimentation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
* Serve as a bridge between delivery and engineering by translating technical blockers or tool-based inefficiencies into actionable solutions.
* Evangelize the use of Agile metrics and automation to stakeholders, supporting transparency, predictability, and continuous delivery.
* Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent); additional technical certifications (e.g., JIRA Administrator, SAFe, or DevOps certifications) are a plus.
* 5+ years of experience as technical Scrum Master or similar Agile leadership positions.
* Proven experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and supporting technical delivery teams in complex software environments.
* Advanced proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and related Agile tools (e.g., JIRA Advanced Roadmaps, Automation, ScriptRunner).
* Demonstrated ability to configure Agile boards, workflows, fields, and automation to support technical team processes.
* Strong understanding of software development practices, including CI/CD, version control, and deployment workflows.
* Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments with the ability to adapt processes to project-specific needs.
* Skilled in the use of Agile metrics to inform planning, retrospectives, and continuous delivery goals.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, technical leads, and architects to ensure backlog items are technically actionable.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
