Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Development (30% of role)

Ship-Breaking Yard Partnerships (Alang Focus)

  • Establish exclusive partnerships

    with major ship-breaking yards in Alang, Sosiya, and other Gujarat locations
  • Develop volume-based trading agreements

    for HMS 1&2, ship plates, and marine scrap materials
  • Create standardized grading systems

    for ship-breaking materials and quality specifications
  • Implement forward contracting

    for predictable ship-breaking material availability
  • Build relationships with ship owners

    and international shipping companies for direct disposal
  • Coordinate with port authorities

    and customs for streamlined material clearance

Import Channel Development

  • Establish direct relationships

    with international scrap suppliers (USA, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia)
  • Negotiate long-term import contracts

    for containerized scrap and bulk shipments
  • Handle customs clearance

    and regulatory compliance for scrap imports
  • Manage foreign exchange

    and international payment mechanisms
  • Develop quality control systems

    for imported material inspection and certification
  • Create import financing solutions

Wholesale Market Integration

  • Build comprehensive networks

    in Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab steel hub)

Volume Trading & Risk Management
