The Meka Group is an Indian business group with diverse interests including Oil & Gas works, Marine Construction, Dredging, Pipe Laying, Port Development, Real estate, and Technology. The group operates in Mumbai and is involved in various infrastructure projects and marine activities.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Civil Quality Assurance specialist for Dahej, Gujarat.
The ideal candidate should have worked in a marine/civil/offshore project and will be responsible for QA/QC of the various aspects of the project - From Trenching, Concrete & Aggregate quality, Survey, Movement of equipment.
• Coordinate inspection for client representative/third party laboratory and subcontractors.
• Prepare/review MS, QCP and ITP for precast activities.
Show effort to closeout external/internal NCRs.
Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements.
• Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.
• Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
• Executes sampling and testing according to the project inspection and test plan.
• Witnesses independent test laboratory activities and reports to project management.
• Identifies the need for supplementary quality engineering based on test results.
• Performs internal quality system audits and reports according to the applicable procedures, focusing on compliance with the system requirements.
• Assure ITP and QCP compliance for precast works (forms preparation, concrete placement, loading, storing, Rock Quarry) –where applicable
• Follow up third party testing facility and activities and reporting as per the QCP, ITP and maintain the records of test and inspection – where applicable
• Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant
- Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Dredging and Marine discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
- Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
- Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
- Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials.
- Supervise effective implementation of all test and inspection schedule and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
- Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.
- Manage to lift of all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per required schedule.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training program.

10 Years min of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure require
10 Years contracts experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Dredging, marine, EPC works.
Hands on experience of handling contracts and/or purchase.
