Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Product Testing for All WTF Products
- Test all products: Member App, Trainer App, TV App, Dashboard, Website, HRMS modules, Lead Engine, CRM, Recruitment System, Facility Management System, AI systems, WhatsApp Bot, internal tools, and new launches.
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and regression test suites.
- Identify functional, UI/UX, integration, and performance issues across every module.
- Validate every business case, user story, and user flow with exceptional detail.
2. Business Case, Use Case & Edge Case Validation
- Convert product requirements into real-world test scenarios.
- Simulate
every possible scenario
that a gym member, trainer, front-desk staff, manager, CEO, or backend system might encounter. - Test edge cases: data errors, connectivity failures, negative scenarios, unexpected user behavior, concurrency, load.
3. Manual + Automation Testing Ownership
- Run deep
manual testing
for new features, backend logic, UI flows, and API responses. - Build and maintain
automation frameworks
for: - Mobile apps (Android/iOS)
- Web dashboards
- APIs
- Create CI/CD-integrated automated test suites.
4. QA Infrastructure & System Building
- Establish the complete QA lifecycle for WTF.
- Build reusable test frameworks, documentation, regression checklists, sanity kits, and smoke test packs.
- Implement tools for:
- Bug tracking
- Automation execution
- Test management
- Performance & load testing (JMeter, k6 etc.)
- Device/browser lab management
5. Release Gatekeeping
- Own final QA sign-off before any release.
- Maintain version-wise release notes, bug lists, test coverage logs, and risk assessments.
- Proactively block releases when quality thresholds are not met.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work tightly with Product Managers, Engineers, UI/UX, and Business Teams to:
- Understand requirements deeply.
- Clarify edge cases.
- Pre-empt failures.
- Improve product logic.
- Mirror real-life gym operations in testing to match WTF's offline–online ecosystem.
7. Data-Level & API Testing
- Validate backend logic, workflows, and database operations.
- Write and run API tests (Postman, Newman, RestAssured).
- Ensure integrity in lead lifecycle, payments, CRM flows, slot booking, attendance, compliance, and AI modules.
8. Security, Performance & Reliability Testing
- Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing for high-traffic events.
- Test authentication, authorization, session handling, and data protection.
- Identify vulnerabilities across apps, dashboards, and APIs.
9. Bug Reporting & Quality Analytics
- Log clear, reproducible bugs with screenshots, videos, logs, and technical details.
- Track and communicate quality metrics:
- Defect density
- Test coverage
- Automation coverage
- Module-wise failure rates
- Release stability score
10. Ownership Mindset
- Operate as the internal watchdog for product stability.
- Think like a product owner and a hacker.
- Continuously improve processes, test coverage, and release quality.
- Always stay ahead of user pain points and system loopholes.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 3–7 years of core QA experience across manual + automation.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, agile workflows.
- Hands-on automation: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- API testing proficiency: Postman, Swagger, RestAssured.
- Experience with:
- SQL queries
- Logging systems
- CI/CD automation
- Version control (Git)
- Crash analytics tools
- Mobile testing tools
- Exposure to backend testing and event-driven architectures is a strong plus.
Testing Competencies
- Ability to design test strategies for highly complex systems.
- Experience with multi-product ecosystems.
- Expertise in regression, sanity, smoke, integration, UAT, E2E, exploratory testing.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate hidden failure points.
Soft Skills
