A QA Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of software by creating and executing tests, identifying bugs, and validating features. They work closely with developers and product teams to ensure smooth, error-free releases and deliver a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Test complete end-to-end user workflows.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Validate search functionality, filters, and recommendation logic.
• Test payment gateways, SMS triggers, and email notification flows.
• Perform cross-browser and mobile responsiveness testing.
• Identify bugs, log detailed defect reports, and track resolution.
• Verify deployments during production releases.
• Maintain test documentation and prepare QA release reports.

Required skills

• Strong manual testing skills (web applications required).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience using Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Basic awareness of performance testing tools (added advantage).
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and validation steps.
