Job Description

Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer – Digital Health Applications

Location: Noida

Role Type: Full Time

Cancard Inc has been a multi-technology company based in Markham (Toronto) since 1989. Both Cancard and its sister company, Advaa Health, are at the forefront of transforming primary healthcare through technological innovation. Our mission is to empower primary care physicians with state-of-the-art digital tools and solutions that streamline their practices and significantly reduce administrative burdens and operational costs. Amidst increasing paperwork and complex administrative tasks faced by healthcare professionals, we serve as a key partner, enabling physicians to focus on patient care.

Our healthcare product portfolio leverages cutting-edge technologies in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing to offer seamless, intuitive, and cost-effective solutions. By integrating our systems, primary care practices can enhance patient engagement, optimize appointment scheduling, automate billing and coding processes, and access comprehensive patient health records in real-time. These advancements not only improve the quality of care provided but also contribute to a significant reduction in overhead costs.

This position offers a unique opportunity for QA Engineers who are passionate about solving critical healthcare challenges to learn and grow within the company. The role provides direct experience and exposure to customers in the US, Canada, and other global markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage across features and user flows.

• Conduct manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and backend components of the digital health application, focusing on functionality, performance, usability, and security.

• Verify clinical workflows and patient journeys, such as appointment scheduling, telehealth sessions, medication management, and health data tracking, ensuring accuracy and safety.

• Test integration with third-party systems and APIs, including electronic health record (EHR) platforms, health information exchanges (HIEs), wearable devices, and other healthcare tools.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA requirements by validating data encryption, secure login/logout processes, audit trails, and patient consent flows.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams during sprint cycles to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and perform exploratory testing during early development stages.

• Document, prioritize, and track defects using bug-tracking systems like JIRA or similar tools, and work with developers to validate fixes in subsequent builds.

• Conduct regression testing to ensure previously developed and tested software still performs after new changes.

• Validate database queries and data integrity, particularly for patient records, clinical notes, lab results, and analytics dashboards.

• Participate in release planning and production validation, helping to ensure smooth deployment of features to staging and production environments.

• Provide QA sign-off by verifying readiness for launch, especially in high-risk features related to patient data, notifications, billing, or clinical interventions.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and staying up to date with industry best practices and healthcare QA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related field.

• Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role in software development.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and/or responsive web applications.

• Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Postman, JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and data privacy best practices is a strong plus.

• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and test documentation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to HL7, FHIR, EHR systems, or healthcare APIs.

• Understanding of accessibility and usability standards in digital health.

• Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.

• Flexible working hours.

• A dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
