NOV WLF is the global leader in the design and manufacture of wireline intervention products for slickline and electric line applications, Flowline valves and equipment, and is a subsidiary company of National Oilwell Varco (NOV). Our business is establishing a new working hub in India, focused on office-based support roles across engineering, planning and sales disciplines.We are seeking a Project Lead to take end-to-end ownership of all activities associated with setting up and staffing the new office. This position will serve as the primary in-country coordinator, working closely with UK-based WLF leadership to support recruitment, infrastructure, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with internal stakeholders, local vendors, and support teams to ensure a successful launch and alignment with global standards.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a new regional hub while enabling strategic collaboration with international teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of the office setup, including facilities, infrastructure, and team mobilization.
- Act as the in-country point of contact for UK-based leadership, providing regular status reports on progress, issues, and risks.
- Collaborate with internal, in-country departments such as IT, HR, Recruitment, Facilities, and Finance to ensure timely execution of setup activities.
- Support recruitment activities by identifying and coordinating local hiring of engineering, planning, and sales personnel.
- Engage with local recruitment partners, leverage market knowledge, and align hiring with project timelines.
- Work closely with the local IT team to ensure timely installation of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Monitor and report on project and facility budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation, including project plans, risk logs, status reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Ensure compliance with NOV policies, procedures, local laws, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Foster a professional and collaborative environment in line with NOV’s mission and core values.
- Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.

Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, or related field
- High degree of communication skills
- Exposure to global collaboration or remote team environments
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Knowledge of Indian recruitment practices and vendor management
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures and area-specific work instructions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across all activities related to the project.
- Participate in training as required and support onboarding of future staff.
- Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction. Encourage and monitor that same approach for all onboarded employees.
- To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
Desirable
- Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience in managing cross-functional operational projects
