Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning:

Design MEP systems for hotels including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection
Coordinate with architects and structural engineers on space planning
Ensure compliance with hospitality industry standards and local codes

Project Management:

Oversee MEP installation during construction phases
Manage contractors and subcontractors
Monitor project timelines and budgets
Conduct quality control inspections

Hotel-Specific Expertise:

Guest room comfort systems (individual HVAC controls, lighting)
Kitchen and restaurant MEP requirements
Pool/spa mechanical systems
Emergency power and life safety systems
Smart building technologies and energy management

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Experience with hospitality construction projects
Knowledge of building codes (IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE standards)
Proficiency in MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.)
