Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Program Manager with 12–15 years of proven expertise in leading complex, cross-functional programs within the banking or financial services sector. The ideal candidate will manage technology programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery skills across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Strategy & Planning
- Define, structure, and manage large-scale strategic programs from initiation through delivery and closure.
- Translate strategic business goals into actionable program objectives and outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
Cross-functional Program Leadership
- Lead and coordinate multiple interrelated projects
- Drive alignment between technology, product, operations, and business teams to ensure unified execution.
- Ensure that all projects under the program deliver their intended outcomes on time and within scope.
Executive & Stakeholder Communication
- Engage with senior leadership, including executives, to provide regular program updates and insights.
- Influence decision-making by presenting data-driven recommendations and trade-offs.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations throughout the program lifecycle.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage program-level risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, steering committees, and change control mechanisms.
- Own and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery and ROI optimization.
- Track financial performance, forecast future spend, and align with finance and procurement teams.
- Lead resource planning, onboarding, and vendor engagement as needed.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Define program KPIs and monitor performance against them.
- Use dashboards and reports to track progress, flag variances, and communicate status to all stakeholders.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the program and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- 12–15 years of total experience, with at least 7+ years in program management roles.
- Strong background in banking, financial services, or fintech, with experience in managing enterprise-level programs.
- Hands-on experience in managing large programs.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, vendor engagements, and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, etc.) is a plus.
- Project/Program certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile, MSP).
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Strong working knowledge of tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Familiar with Microsoft tech stack such as .NET, Power Platform etc
