We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Production Engineer
with over 10 years of hands-on expertise in managing and improving production processes within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and leadership to ensure that production systems operate efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the entire production lifecycle, from planning and execution to quality control and process optimization.This position is ideal for a professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong engineering acumen, and has a proven track record of implementing best practices in production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Control: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products while meeting quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Implement lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
- Equipment & Machinery Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment. Ensure machines operate at optimal performance with minimal downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to maintain high product standards. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for production defects or failures.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Promote a culture of workplace safety and conduct regular safety audits.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, providing technical guidance and training to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, procurement, supply chain, and maintenance teams to align production with business goals and customer requirements.
- Cost Management: Monitor production costs, analyze variances, and implement strategies for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Capacity Planning: Assess production capabilities and make recommendations for scaling operations, including investments in new technologies, tools, or processes.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect and analyze production data, generate performance reports, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Project Management: Lead process improvement and expansion projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, manufacturing technologies, and automation tools to drive innovation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of proven experience in production engineering, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and MS Office applications.
- Excellent knowledge of safety standards, compliance regulations, and quality systems (ISO/TS standards).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
