This role is for one of Weekday's clients Min Experience: 8 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time Requirements Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. As the HR Head, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and take full ownership of all aspects of the HR function including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a people-centric leader with a strong strategic mindset and hands-on experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Define and execute the HR strategy in line with the company's vision, culture, and growth goals. Work closely with the executive team to align HR initiatives with business priorities. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding: Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent. Build a compelling employer brand to position the company as an employer of choice. Employee Engagement & Culture Building: Design and implement programs to promote employee satisfaction, morale, and retention. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Performance Management: Drive the performance management process including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, performance reviews, and development planning to support career growth and accountability. HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure HR policies are up to date, legally compliant, and effectively communicated. Handle sensitive matters including grievances, terminations, and conflict resolution with discretion and integrity. Compensation & Benefits: Review and manage compensation strategies to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. Design reward and recognition systems to motivate performance. Learning & Development: Identify skill gaps and create learning programs to support the development of leadership and technical competencies across all levels. HR Operations: Manage HR systems, data, and reporting. Optimize processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and employee satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements. Proven experience in scaling HR functions in fast-paced or high-growth environments. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence at all levels and work cross-functionally across departments. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
