Role Overview:


Rooter is looking for a self-driven, outcome-oriented Product Manager who has strong Python and SQL skills, thrives in ambiguity, obsesses over user problems, and is excited to build category-defining gaming experiences. In this role, you will own the entire product lifecycle from strategy and discovery to execution and iteration, driving initiatives that fuel player engagement, retention, and revenue.

You won’t just manage roadmaps, you’ll own problems end-to-end. You’ll be expected to dig deep into player behavior, data trends, and product performance, and rapidly turn insights into action. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics to bring delightful and impactful features to life.

We need someone who is as comfortable brainstorming game mechanics as they are writing SQL queries or aligning stakeholders on the vision. If you’re a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes complete ownership, and has a bias for action, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute data-backed product strategies that align with user needs, business goals, and gaming market dynamics
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Support teams to deliver seamless and impactful user experiences
  • Deeply understand the gaming ecosystem and player/user behaviors to identify and prioritize core problems; balance trade-offs across user delight, tech feasibility, and business impact
  • Define, track, and iterate on key product metrics; use experimentation, cohort analysis, and A/B testing to validate assumptions and optimize product outcomes
  • Own the complete product lifecycle from discovery and definition to launch and continuous iteration, ensuring high-quality delivery at speed
  • Incorporate qualitative and quantitative player feedback into the product development process to improve stickiness, retention, and LTV
  • Stay ahead of trends in gaming, AI tools, monetization mechanics, and competitive benchmarks to innovate rapidly and intelligently
  • Build and communicate a clear product vision that aligns internal teams and external stakeholders around shared outcomes
  • Work with Live Ops, CRM, and Growth teams to create event-driven product features that boost daily engagement and monetization.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in gaming, content platforms, or consumer mobile apps. Startup experience is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms like CleverTap, Mixpanel, MoEngage, Amplitude, or similar. Proven ability to derive insights from data
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python for data exploration, prototyping, and automation tasks. Experience with scripting or low-code tools is a bonus
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly via dashboards or tools like Quicksight, custom Python visualizations or any preferred tool
  • Passion for games and deep understanding of gamer motivations, monetization models (IAP, ads, rewards), and content dynamics
  • Track record of shipping features fast in agile, iterative environments while maintaining product quality and stakeholder trust
  • Strong communication, leadership, storytelling, and project management skills with the ability to influence without authority.


Qualification:


B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Computer Science
