Job Title: Procurement Support for Solar Power Projects
Job Summary:
As a Procurement Support professional for solar power projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services necessary for the development, construction, and maintenance of solar energy projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to meet project requirements, optimize costs, and contribute to the overall success of our solar energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, electrical components, and other project-related materials.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring reliability and timely deliveries.
Cost Analysis and Budget Control:
Work closely with project managers and engineers to develop and manage procurement budgets.
Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and performance.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and consumption to ensure materials are available when needed.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and loss.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for procurement and materials sourcing.
Maintain all relevant documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
Address any quality issues with suppliers and drive resolution.
Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:
Oversee the logistics of transporting materials to project sites.
Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize delivery schedules and minimize lead times.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and performance to project stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of solar energy systems and components is a plus.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with sustainability and environmental practices in procurement.
