As a procurement professional, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that are in line with the company's goals and objectives. Compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements is paramount. You will need to conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure that all procurement activities are in line with the set standards. As a leader in the procurement team, you will lead and mentor a team of professionals. Providing training and development opportunities to enhance team performance and capability will be part of your role. Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies will be crucial. Utilizing this information to make informed procurement decisions is vital for the success of the procurement function. Preparing and presenting regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends, to senior management will be another key aspect of your role.
