Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRO Specialist with deep expertise in factory-level Maintenance, Repair, and Operations procurement and corporate exposure. The ideal candidate will deliver end-to-end MRO procurement solutions, optimize inventory levels through detailed study of product usage and quality, and drive strategic sourcing by leveraging vendor intelligence. This role requires strong collaboration across maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective and quality supply solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement SOPs and procurement policies for MRO within a sustainable framework
  • Lead the creation, negotiation, and execution of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) with vendors
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and control mechanisms in all MRO procurement activities
  • Drive master data improvement in ERP through enhanced material taxonomy and categorization, supporting procurement tool setup
  • Lead change management initiatives to strengthen procurement and inventory controls
  • Promote adoption and effective utilization of procurement platforms and digital tools
  • Conduct detailed analysis of MRO product life cycles, usage patterns, and quality standards
  • Establish procurement benchmarks and vendor evaluation criteria to ensure continuous supply stability
  • Design cost control strategies to maintain optimal inventory and reduce excess spend
  • Provide training and consultancy on best practices in MRO procurement
  • Use technology solutions for spend analytics and supplier performance monitoring
  • Mitigate supply risks through thorough vendor financial and operational intelligence


Required Skills & Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of MRO product categories, quality parameters, and factory-level processes
  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor negotiation techniques
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, procurement analytics, and master data governance
  • Ability to interpret maintenance and repair technical documentation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in supplier performance management, CAPA, and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Understanding of compliance, environmental, and safety regulations relevant to MRO
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sustainable procurement frameworks
  • Skilled in driving digital transformation and change in procurement processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Preferable industry: Food & Agribusiness, FMCG & relevant Areas
  • 10-14 years of relevant experience in MRO procurement and vendor management for Global MNC.
  • Demonstrated success in factory/plant-level procurement and strategic sourcing.
  • Should be currently working in a corporate setup to possess good communication skills and has exhibited prowess in PowerPoint presentations in current work experience
