Role Overview

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services required for business operations. This role involves vendor management, cost optimization, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely availability of materials, with a strong focus on seeds, agro-inputs, packaging, and other agriculture-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers for seeds, raw materials, packaging, and other operational requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production, R&D, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Production, R&D, QC, Logistics, Finance) to forecast requirements and maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and quality standards.
• Support audits and documentation related to procurement and vendor management.
• Develop strategies for cost savings, risk management, and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in

  Commerce / Agriculture / Supply Chain / Management

  (MBA preferred).
• 4–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in

  Agri / Seeds / FMCG

  sector.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred).
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
