We are looking for a Pre Sales Engineer who will play a key role in supporting our sales operations and driving efficiency across project coordination, BOQ preparation, and client engagement.
Position Overview: The Pre Sales Engineer will be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between the Sales Team, Manufacturers/OEMs and Project Execution Team. This individual will assist in designing BOQs, preparing quotations, drawings, tracking client interactions, and ensuring timely follow-ups for successful order closures.
This role demands excellent organisational and communication skills, a good technical understanding of AV/ELV systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination and Internal Communication
Act as the connecting link between the Sales, Procurement/Manufacturer and Project Execution teams.
Coordinate with manufacturers and distributors for updated product pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
Ensure all project requirements are communicated accurately to internal teams with seamless proposal preparation.
Maintain proper documentation and communication logs for each opportunity.
BOQ Preparation and Estimation Support
Work closely with the Pre-Sales Head to design and structure Bill of Quantities (BOQs), Drawings, Connectivity Diagrams based on tender documents or client requirements.
Assist in collecting product details, specifications, and pricing from OEMs and suppliers.
Review BOQs to ensure technical accuracy and commercial viability.
Maintain an organized database of standard BOQs and price references.
Quotation Management
Prepare and format professional quotation documents along with Solution Presentations aligned with Elvtech’s branding and commercial standards.
Ensure all quotations are reviewed and approved internally before submission.
Log every quotation sent to clients and update the tracking sheet for monitoring status and progress.
Client Follow-ups and Order Closures
Conduct timely and polite follow-ups with clients on submitted proposals.
Coordinate with the sales team to track negotiation updates and closure progress.
Update CRM systems or internal trackers regularly to reflect real-time quotation and order statuses.
Support the sales team with necessary documentation during order finalization.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain detailed records of client communication, quotations, and project details.
Generate weekly and monthly MIS reports for management review.
Track conversion rates, pending proposals, and client response timelines for performance analysis.
Key Skills and Attributes
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience using CRM or ERP systems for tracking sales activity.
Understanding of AV/ELV products, estimation, and BOQ creation is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timelines.
Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related field.
3 years of experience in Pre-Sales Support within the AV / ELV / System Integration domain.
Prior experience in coordinating with manufacturers or technical sales teams will be an advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timeliness and accuracy of BOQs and quotations.
Quality and consistency of client follow-ups.
Conversion ratio of quotations to confirmed orders.
Coordination efficiency and response turnaround time.
