You built your expertise in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A for more than budget oversight and slide reviews.Your focus is on designing, challenging, and driving execution—transforming ambiguous strategy into rigorous action plans rather than multi-year projections that sit unused. You've honed your financial modeling capabilities in demanding settings. Now you seek to apply that expertise where it directly influences operational roadmaps, not merely pitch documents. This position delivers that opportunity.Trilogy seeks a finance professional with strategic acumen and operational discipline: one who excels amid uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and integrates AI as a core productivity tool. You will collaborate closely with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS and education companies, establishing the financial infrastructure and decision frameworks that enable lean, intentional growth. If your preferred workflow involves dissecting flawed operating models, restructuring them with phased objectives and performance metrics, and delivering analyses that prompt executive recalibration, this role is designed for you.You will not oversee large finance departments. You will not enforce budget compliance. You will not wait years to see results. Instead, you will drive strategic direction with velocity, analytical rigor, and AI-augmented capability—and your contributions will influence the course of ventures making meaningful global impact.
What You Will Be Doing
- Constructing and maintaining integrated 3-statement financial models with transparent assumption drivers, ERP system linkages, and AI-supported scenario evaluation.
- Delivering complete investment documentation—financial models, sensitivity frameworks, and executive-ready analyses—within 72-hour turnarounds.
- Stress-testing key operational metrics including CAC, retention rates, pricing structures, and capacity utilization to expose critical assumptions and inform decision-making.
- Transforming under-developed business cases into structured, milestone-driven execution frameworks with embedded performance thresholds.
- Managing and iterating live financial platforms that enable immediate decision support across SaaS and education business units.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Performing month-end close procedures, audit coordination, or compliance reporting—this position is neither a controllership nor traditional FP&A management function.
- Building or supervising large teams—your leadership stems from deliverables and insight, not organizational hierarchy.
- Producing presentations without follow-through—all strategic guidance must rest on validated models, tested logic, and explicit decision criteria.
- Working at a measured pace—this environment is intentionally fast-moving, AI-enabled, and structured around navigating complexity.
- Waiting for strategic direction—you are expected to challenge existing approaches and sharpen them proactively.
