Level:
ConsultantAs a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines in various agile methodologies. Provide necessary project management support in the form of guidance to project managers, which includes identifying opportunities to standardize the project-related governance processes, supporting project resources, methodologies & tools. Need-basis consultants will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
The work you will do includes:
- Process & Governance:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PMO processes, standards, and templates.
- Support project managers in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to established methodologies.
- Planning and Tracking:
- Assist Project Managers in the development and maintenance of comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Track key project deliverables, milestones and dependencies.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Track project KPIs, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
- Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Support PMs in identifying, assessing and tracking project risks and issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of mitigations strategies and contingency plans
- Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items.
- Support change management activities and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance project delivery and PMO effectiveness.
- Assist in training and onboarding new project team members on PMO standards and tools.
Qualifications
Skills / Project Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT or a related field
- 4+ years of experiences in a Project Management Office role, with an IT environment
- Proven experience with various project methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Smartsheets, MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Effective handling of highly sensitive, and often highly confidential, information using exemplary judgment, tact and diplomacy
- Exposure to budget, forecast and resource management
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally) with experience in building dashboards to increase transparency
- Enable teams to deliver value by leveraging flow metrics, Objective Key Results (OKRs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), CI/CD Processes, Release Management
- Basic understanding of key deployment strategies in Release Management (e.g., A/B testing, Canary Releases, Blue-Green Deployment, Rolling Deployment)
Good to have
- PMO certifications like CA-PMO, PMI-PMOCP etc.
- Agile Framework certification like CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
