Job Title: Operations Manager – Retail Sector
Department: Operations
Location: Coimbatore
Reports To: Senior Manager / General Manager

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee daily retail operations, driving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction across multiple stores. The role requires strong leadership in managing teams, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, and executing strategies to achieve sales and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Management

  • Manage daily operations across multiple retail outlets.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of sales, inventory, customer service, and logistics.
  • Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization.

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate store managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Set performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, grooming standards, and code of conduct.

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Support store teams in achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor customer service quality and handle escalations.
  • Implement customer engagement initiatives to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Inventory & Supply Chain

  • Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and shrinkage control.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for timely supply.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation, merchandising, and display standards.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor cash handling, billing, and audit processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance, store operations, and financial metrics.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Provide insights on customer trends and market competition.
  • Implement promotional campaigns and seasonal sales plans.
  • Drive digital adoption, automation, and retail technology initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and supply chain.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and retail management software (ERP/POS).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • 10–12 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5–7 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience managing multi-store operations preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
