Responsibilities:1. Food & Beverage ManagementOversee the preparation and distribution of both freshly cooked and packaged food items, ensuring quality and taste.Develop and maintain a nutritious menu, keeping in mind student preferences and dietary requirements.Ensure food items are stored, prepared, and served in compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory guidelines.Coordinate with vendors for procurement of fresh ingredients and packaged food supplies.Maintain inventory and ensure availability of necessary raw materials and packaged items.2. Hygiene, Safety & ComplianceEnsure that the cafeteria meets all hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.Maintain all required licenses and certifications, including FSSAI, fire safety, and health department permits.Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with school policies.Implement waste management and sustainability initiatives within the cafeteria.3. Staff Management & TrainingSupervise cafeteria staff, including cooks, servers, and cleaning personnel.Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, hygiene practices, and customer service.Schedule and allocate tasks efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.Monitor staff performance and address any issues related to work efficiency or discipline.4. Budgeting & Financial OversightMaintain cafeteria budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilization.Track daily sales, expenses, and financial reports to ensure profitability.Work with the school finance team to set meal pricing and manage transactions.5. Customer Service & Student EngagementAddress concerns or feedback from students, staff, and parents regarding cafeteria services.Ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the cafeteria.Plan special food events or themed menus to engage students and promote healthy eating habits.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelors degree or diploma in Hotel Management, F&B Management, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in cafeteria, restaurant, or food service management.Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance.Experience in staff training and supervision.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Proficiency in handling budgeting, financial planning, and inventory control.Work Conditions:The role requires standing for long hours and overseeing kitchen operations.Availability during school hours and for special events.
