Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all operational aspects of events and exhibitions. The role ensures seamless execution of projects within budget, on time, and in alignment with client expectations, company standards, and safety compliance. The Operations Manager acts as the central link between design, production, vendors, clients, and on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Translate client briefs and design concepts into actionable project plans.
  • Develop detailed event and exhibition execution schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Allocate resources, manpower, and equipment for smooth operations.
  • Supervise site setup, dismantling, and logistics.

2. Vendor & Supply Chain Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency from vendors.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare operational budgets in coordination with the project and finance team.
  • Monitor costs against budgets, ensuring profitability of projects.
  • Track billing, vendor payments, and cost escalations.

4. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead site supervisors, technicians, and ground staff during execution.
  • Coordinate with design, marketing, and client servicing teams to align deliverables.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and assign responsibilities.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to local regulations, venue guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Implement risk assessment, fire safety, and crowd management plans.
  • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.

6. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational matters.
  • Provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders on progress.
  • Address on-site issues and resolve operational challenges promptly.

7. Post-Event Activities

  • Supervise dismantling and ensure proper handover of the venue.
  • Prepare post-event reports, including cost analysis, vendor performance, and lessons learned.
  • Support business development with operational insights for future bids.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
