How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a global leader in the commercial payments solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business dedicated exclusively to the success of businesses globally. GCS provides a range of Corporate Payments Solutions and other expense management tools to help small, mid, and large companies around the world manage all facets of their business spending. 
The Insights & Analytics (I&A) team enables data-driven decision-making and operational excellence through robust governance, scalable analytics, and actionable insights. Reporting to the VP, Insights & Analytics, the Manager/Sr. Manager, Insights & Analytics, will play a critical role in advancing our analytics strategy by designing frameworks that enhance transparency, accelerate transformation, and align with enterprise goals. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on analytics leader who thrives at the intersection of governance, data storytelling, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish robust control, compliance, and governance frameworks within the Insights & Analytics (I&A) function to ensure adherence to corporate policies and audit readiness. 
  • Enhance reporting and insights delivery by designing scalable, accurate, and user-centric analytics frameworks that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. 
  • Oversee strategic and transformation initiatives, fostering alignment with enterprise goals and ensuring measurable outcomes that advance organizational performance. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Finance, and Compliance teams to identify process improvement and automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Lead complex program and project management initiatives, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of analytics and reporting solutions aligned with business priorities.  
  • Develop and implement dynamic dashboards and analytical frameworks to monitor program performance, highlight key insights, and inform executive decision-making. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, provide strategic direction, professional development, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.  
  • Serve as a strategic thought-leader and mentor within the team by modeling analytical excellence, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or program management (financial services or technology preferred). 
  • Proven expertise in tools such as SQL, Hive, Python, Tableau, Power BI and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven experience creating executive-level materials. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse, global teams. 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using dashboards, KPIs, or operational reporting. 
  • Familiarity with GenAI concepts and applications in reporting, automation, and process optimization. 
  • Knowledge of governance and risk management frameworks. 
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information. 
  • Background in B2B payments, procurement, or accounts payable data preferred.
