Industrial Engineer
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The Industrialization Engineer is responsible to industrialize the maintenance, renovation/modernization activity at the Depot, Repair Centre or Production site(s) in order to secure the production deliverables.
Responsibilities
Industrial documentation and processes
:
- Basic knowledge and working level experience w.r.t basic electrical engineering and concepts and competent to read and execute equipment level electrical schematics and wiring diagram.
- Experience in electrical equipment such as OHM Meter clamp meter, Micro ohm meter and hands on knowledge about handling electrical tools such as cutter, stripper, installation s of relay and contractor at equipment and loco level.
- Proficient competency in examining electrical data sheet related to loco equipment.
- Orient & validate the design while taking into account the industrial constraints of the manufacturing, renovations and maintenance sites, in Concurrent Engineering with the design team.
- Detects, defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
- Develops the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals.
- Analyses the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
- Lead the industrialization of technical documentation, respecting the Standard Manufacturing Process & Standard Manufacturing Line guidelines, footprint
- Provide inputs to Industrial means and tools requirements for project execution activities
- Implement the Project Make or Buy strategy in all deliverables
- Respect the Industrial Planning milestones (followed by the IMFU)
- Establish Asbestos abatement, stripping, parts retention and hidden damage Industrial Processes
- Ensure Railway Safety and EHS, AZDP standards are respected
- Ensure the smooth industrial transition by assisting any transfer of production until Serial Go (in case of transfer from RS, C&W to Service)
- Owns the Configuration and Design Change Management of the Project
- Manages the technical performances of the systems and provide Rex to relevant Services Platform.
- Optimizes the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
- Supports cost reduction actions, with sourcing and other department
- Detects, defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
Qualifications And Skills
Education:
- B. Tech in Electrical with 5 years of experience.
- General railway and Product knowledge
- Familiar with Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Autocad

Technical Competencies & Experience
- Technical background with 3 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and elctrical drawings
- Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
- Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001
