Job description for a Material Planner role: 1. Candidate should be aware about material requirement planning (MRP) for manufacturing. 2. Monitoring of inventory level & place the purchase order for Raw material, accessories & components as needed. 3. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any delivery or quality issues. 4. Coordinate with production, procurement and warehouse teams to maintain accurate material flow. 5. Review with Production head & providing commitments to customer as per the purchase order. 6. Analyze consumption patterns, lead times and historical data to optimize inventory levels. 7. Maintain accurate records of material usage, inventory transactions. 8. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain and inventory management. 9. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to adjust material plans based on production changes or supply disruptions. 10. Review the gaps with production for the capacity & take the action if any outsource required. 11. Generate reports on inventory status, material shortages and purchase order status. 12. Maintaining Inventory & OTD as per the KPI. 13. SAP knowledge in PP & MM.
