Department NPD Position Engineer Languages Preferred English / Hindi and other language knowledge is an added advantage. Qualification A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience Must have 4+ years of experience in Sheet Metal or Automotive industry. Competency Level / Skill – Job Description Industry-specific product experience may be advantageous. Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills. Excellent working knowledge of 3D modeling software and report writing programs. Senior product development engineers should lead a team of junior engineers and other professionals. Creating detailed specifications for new products based on customer feedback and market research. Managing the development of new products from start to finish, including working with suppliers, manufacturers, and other team members. Reviewing designs and making suggestions for improvement before prototypes are built. Managing budgets and timelines to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Reviewing manufacturing processes to ensure that they meet industry standards for safety and efficiency. Analyzing existing products to identify areas for improvement and updating current documentation. Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software to design prototypes. Identifying the needs of the company and integrating market research to determine the needs and goals of new products. Software Skills Experience using a database such as SAP, DMS, APQP highly desired.
