Assistant General Manager-Operations

Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 15–20 Years (Preferred from Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication and Machining Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and streamline all production operations including machine shop, fabrication, assembly, powder coating and testing.
• Drive process establishment and standardization across departments to ensure operational consistency and excellence.
• Manage and monitor ongoing production activities; identify and resolve deviations against documentation, quality, and schedule.
• Execute feasibility analysis for new product development (NPD), oversee sample production, and secure customer approval.
• Implement robust production planning, material scheduling, and capacity utilization strategies.
• Enforce best manufacturing practices aligned with Lean, 5S, TQM, and Just-in-Time (JIT) methodologies.
• Monitor key performance indicators including rejections, rework, customer complaints, production yield, and delivery adherence.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet all required specifications and compliance standards.
• Lead monthly MIS reporting, production cost analysis, and ensure adherence to EHS guidelines.
• Drive implementation and compliance of ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), and ISO 45001 (OHSAS).
• Identify training needs on the shop floor; develop multi-skill capability through competency-based training programs.
• Optimize manpower planning and resource allocation to meet production targets with a cost-conscious approach.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, team accountability, and operational discipline.

Key Competencies:

• Proven leadership in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical expertise in precision sheet metal, machining, powder coating, and mechanical assembly processes.
• Excellent understanding of lean tools, quality systems, safety protocols, and ISO standards.
• Sharp analytical and decision-making skills to handle real-time production challenges.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working closely with SCM, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
