Job Title: Industrial Engineer (Winding) - Power Transformers Department: Manufacturing/Production Location: Vadodara Reports To: IE of HOD Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the winding department of a power transformer manufacturing facility. Knowledge: Essential: In-depth knowledge of power transformer winding processes, including: Disc winding, layer winding, helical winding, and other relevant techniques. Conductor handling and processing (copper, aluminum). Insulation application and techniques. Winding jig and fixture design and utilization. Troubleshooting winding-related issues. Knowledge of transformer standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI). Experience with 220 kV class transformers or higher. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Desirable: Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of PLC programming and automation. Experience with statistical process control (SPC). Knowledge of 3D modeling software. An ITI-qualified Technician with hands-on experience in power transformer testing. The candidate will support electrical testing, maintenance, and field service activities, ensuring safe and accurate testing of power transformers. Key Responsibilities: Assist in electrical testing of power transformers, including: Insulation Resistance (IR) Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) Winding Resistance Power Factor / Tan Delta Oil BDV Testing Prepare and arrange test equipment, cables, and connections under supervision. Perform pre-testing inspections , including checking oil level, bushing condition, and earthing. Support in advanced tests such as SFRA and DGA sampling. Ensure safe working practices, including grounding and PPE use. Record and report basic test readings accurately. Perform maintenance and cleaning of testing instruments and tools . Required Qualifications: Technician - ITI in Electrical (2-5 years Exp.) Minimum 23 years of experience in transformer testing or electrical maintenance. Basic knowledge of transformer components and test procedures. Familiarity with equipment like Megger, TTR kit, BDV kit, etc. Preferred Skills: Ability to follow technical instructions and wiring diagrams. Awareness of electrical safety standards and site protocols.
