Job Description

1. Position Overview : The HR Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing HR strategies, policies, and processes across the organization. The role requires strong leadership, employee management, recruitment expertise, and compliance with statutory requirements. The HR Manager will work closely with management and department heads to build an efficient, motivated, and performance-driven workforce. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition : Understand manpower needs and create JD/JR for various positions. Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding. Build a talent pipeline for technical, managerial, and shop-floor positions. Coordinate with external recruiters and technical hiring panels. B. HR Operations & AdministrationMaintain employee records, attendance, leaves, and HR databases. Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks. Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, orientation, and exit formalities. Ensure smooth operation of payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, shifts etc.). C. Performance ManagementImplement structured performance appraisal systems (KRA/KPI based). Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews. Identify training needs and implement learning & development programs. D. Compliance & Statutory Requirements Ensure compliance with all labour laws applicable to manufacturing SMEs: PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Shops & Establishment, Factory Act, LWF, Contract Labour, etc. Maintain statutory registers, returns, and coordinate with auditors. Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and domestic inquiries. E. Employee Engagement & Culture BuildingConduct employee engagement initiatives, team-building, and welfare programs. Improve employee morale, retention, and internal communication. Promote organizational values and create a positive work culture. F. Policy Development & HR StrategySupport management in HR budgeting, resource planning, and restructuring. Formulate long-term HR strategies aligned with company growth. Implement productivity improvement initiatives on shop-floor and office teams. 3. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducationMBA in HR / Human Resource Management or equivalent. Experience5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial equipment companies. Experience handling 50–150 employees is an advantage. Technical SkillsKnowledge of labour laws, PF/ESIC, payroll processes, and compliance. Experience with HRMS/attendance systems. Strong recruitment skills for technical & non-technical roles. Soft SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and team management abilities. High integrity, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced SME environment.
