Service Engineer

1. Position Overview : The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales support for vacuum systems, machines, pumps, and automation equipment supplied by the company. The role involves on-site service visits, customer training, documentation, and coordination with production and design teams to ensure smooth functioning of equipment at client sites. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Installation & Commissioning Install and commission vacuum systems, PLC-based machines, pumps, Vacuum chambers, and accessories at customer sites. Perform wiring (if required), piping assembly, mechanical assembly, calibration, and start-up procedures. Verify machine performance as per FAT/SAT parameters. B. Troubleshooting & Repair Diagnose issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems. Perform repairs, part replacements, leak testing, and calibration. Provide timely technical solutions to reduce machine downtime. C. Customer Support Provide on-site and remote assistance for machine operation and maintenance. Train customer operators and maintenance teams. Handle customer complaints and ensure satisfactory closure. D. Preventive & Annual Maintenance Schedule and perform periodic preventive maintenance visits. Prepare service reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance logs. Recommend spare parts, consumables, and upgrades. E. Documentation & Reporting Prepare visit reports, service logs, and commissioning checklists. Maintain records of parts used, issues identified, and corrective actions taken. Report recurring problems to design/production for product improvements. F. Coordination with Internal Teams Share customer feedback and technical observations with design and production. Assist the stores/purchase team with spare parts identification. Support marketing/sales in technical discussions when required. G. Safety & Compliance Follow electrical, mechanical, and site-specific safety standards. Ensure compliance with company procedures and documentation norms. Use PPE during on-site work and travel. E. Experience Candidates with experience in Hydraulics, pneumatics, installation of automatic machines will be preferred.
