Role Overview
The HR Associate / Senior HR Associate will play an integral role in operationalising and strengthening core HR functions with structured logic, process clarity, and attention to compliance. This role will involve supporting recruitment, lifecycle management, performance systems, and internal service delivery while also contributing to the design and continuous improvement of HR frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Collaborate with project leads to design clear job descriptions aligned with organisational needs and budgets.
- Evaluate CVs using structured screening logic; ensure role-fit based on competency and experience.
- Coordinate interviews, facilitate feedback loops, and provide candidate experience insights.
- Oversee offer negotiations and prepare appointment letters with consistency and fairness.
- Design and deliver engaging induction sessions, ensuring smooth onboarding across teams.
- Maintain dashboards and analytics to monitor recruitment turnaround time and source effectiveness.
- Employee Lifecycle Management
- Structure and maintain employee records (physical and digital), with logical categorisation for quick reference.
- Design and implement trackers for probation periods, contract renewals, and confirmation reviews.
- Analyse employee movement data to identify trends and recommend policy or staffing adjustments.
- Implement standardise exit procedures and ensure a logical checklist-based approach for all offboarding activities.
- Performance Management
- Operationalise performance frameworks including SMART goal-setting, review mechanisms, and feedback loops.
- Design sensitisation materials (FAQs, guides) to help staff understand the appraisal cycle.
- Guide project leads on structured performance evaluation and documentation logic.
- Assist in identifying performance gaps and support development plans where needed.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Create and maintain HR databases and reports, using logical naming conventions and data validation to ensure accuracy.
- Develop SOPs and process flow diagrams for recurring HR tasks.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and audit requirements by maintaining clear documentation trails.
- Support policy interpretation and design tweaks based on feedback and observed gaps.
- Employee Relations, Grievance Handling & Communication
- Design a logical framework for managing grievances, including intake, response timelines, and documentation.
- Act as a neutral and empathetic point of contact for employee concerns.
- Support internal communication strategies by drafting content and assisting in delivery planning.
- Participate in change management initiatives by tracking impact and uptake across staff.
- Benefits Administration & Staff Support
- Streamline benefit schemes by designing logical workflows for enrolment, claim tracking, and grievance redressal.
- Coordinate with external vendors for timely issuance of ID cards, insurance documentation, and renewals.
- Maintain FAQs and process documents for easy employee self-service on routine HR matters.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
▪ Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.▪ 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in the NGO or social sector.▪ Strong understanding of HR operations, Indian labour laws, and compliance frameworks.▪ Proficient in using HRMS & ATS tools, Excel (including formulas/logic), and digital filing systems.▪ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.▪ Logical thinking, structured problem-solving, and process design abilities.▪ High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.▪ Proactive and resourceful with a collaborative mindset.▪ Languages: English, Hindi & Telugu.Desirable Attributes▪ Experience in designing or improving HR workflows, trackers, or process templates.▪ Capability to use logic-based tools (like Excel formulas, conditional formatting) for HR analytics.▪ Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), with the ability to support inclusive hiring, communication, and workplace practices.▪ Enthusiasm for building inclusive, efficient, and human-centric HR systems.YRGCARE is an equal-opportunity employer.
