You will be responsible for
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Product Leadership• Establish long-term product vision and roadmap for supply chain ordering and collaboration platforms, aligned with Tesco’s strategic and business objectives.• Transform and modernise the Supplier Ordering and Collaboration domain, evolve the product capabilities to ensure it is purpose-fit and future-fit.• Leverage your domain knowledge to manage the product lifecycle for you domain, developing and maturing new capabilities and decommission older, more legacy systems. • Identifying opportunities to deliver savings and benefits, ensuring we can differentiate in the market and stay relevant for our suppliers. • Be responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed product KPIs improvements across all the products owned/ managed by your team.• Contribute to defining the business/value case for transformation and identify new capabilities that need to be built, empowering your Product Leads.• Use leadership and negotiation skills to define and influence outcomes both within and outside of the organisation to achieve the best for Tesco customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners.• Handle conflicting priorities well, communicate clearly trade-offs and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence.Team Leadership & Growth• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product team focused on supply capabilities.• Promote a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement across product squads.• Set clear goals and KPIs for your team members and periodically review all the KPIs owned by the team spanning across multiple products and provide feedback on improving those.• Understand skill gap and ensure the team receives the right upskilling and support to excel in their roles.• Motivate the team by ensuring they have fulfilling roles, proper rewards and recognition strategies.• Inspire, mentor and coach other Product Managers and Teams improving product capability at Tesco.• Contribute in talent planning for your own Product area to ensure a continuous talent pipeline and recognition.• Carry out people routines for direct reports and develop talented people.• Conduct fair performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback for your team. • Contribute towards hiring/ building a great pool of product managers.Cross-Functional Collaboration• Work closely with business stakeholders (supply chain ops, merchandising, trading) and technology teams to ensure alignment of product goals and execution.• Work closely with UI/UX, Programme, Engineering and Business partners, to solve customer, colleague, supplier and business problems, defining and agreeing outcomes and key results.• Partner with Data Science team to ensure products built leverage AI/ML capabilities and Simulation• Foster strong partnerships across supply planning, supplier management, and data analytics functions.Product Development & Delivery• Manage budgets and ensure team funding is secured by working closely with your Director and Programme Lead• Lead aligned product discovery, agile delivery and continuous product evolution.• Ensure delivered solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability expectations. Define KPIs to track success.• Ensure OKR’s KPIs and reporting are established and conduct periodic Product reviews. Data-Driven Prioritization & Insights• Use data, market research, and stakeholder feedback to prioritize features that drive impact in supply planning (accuracy, efficiency, responsiveness).• Implement robust reporting and dashboards to monitor supply chain product performance and ROI.Innovation & Technology• Stay ahead of supply planning/ ordering and collaboration Industry tech trends (e.g., AI-driven planning and collaboration, automation).• Work with engineering, programme and UI/UX to deliver innovative, future facing solutions aligned with supplier and supply chain needs.You will need
Required Experience & SkillsProduct Management Leadership• Experience leading large product teams and delivering strategic outcomes and transformation across the full product development lifecycle.• Deep knowledge of supply chain planning systems – especially supply planning/ ordering and supplier collaboration tools. Be able to contribute as a thought leader.• Proven leader in mentoring product managers, fostering teamwork, and presenting/ Influencing to senior executives.Strategic & Analytical Thinking• Strong capability in roadmap definition, platform thinking, and modular solution design.• Ability to interpret data and insights to guide product decisions and optimise planning metrics.• Ability to use data and Insights to solve complex customer and partner problems.Cross-Functional Collaboration• Evident experience aligning product direction with operations, data, engineering, and supplier stakeholder groups.• Ability to demonstrate collaborative and commercial leadership.• Ability to evaluate business cases, translate In to value and surface priorities and trade-offs for prioritisation and decisions makingAgility In Technology Excellence• Skilled in agile methodologies, planning, delivery, and iterative product development.• Understanding of large-scale data platforms, system integrations, and performance monitoring.Whats in it for you?
