Job Description

Head of Operations – India


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead and manage the day-to-day operational functions of our India office. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless running of our local operations finance, IT, HR and facilities. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, an operational mindset, and the ability to work closely with global teams while addressing the unique needs of our India location.


Key Responsibilities


1. Human Resources Management (Dotted line to Global Head of HR)

- Oversee all local HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement and compliance with India labor laws.

- Partner with global HR leadership to align local practices with global policies and initiatives.

- Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations and conflict resolution.


2. Finance & Accounting Oversight (Dotted line to Global Controller)

- Manage local accounting operations, payroll processing, and statutory compliance.

- Oversee budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting for the India office.

- Coordinate with the global finance team on audits, reconciliations, and policy adherence.


3. IT & Technology Support

- Oversee local IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, and employee technology support.

- Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure cybersecurity standards, software rollouts, and hardware lifecycle management.


4. Office & Facilities Management

- Lead daily office operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and engaging work environment.

- Manage vendor relationships, including landlords, maintenance providers, and office service suppliers.

- Oversee procurement of office supplies, technology equipment, and furniture.

- Coordinate shipping, logistics, and any import/export compliance requirements.


5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Act as the primary point of contact between the India office and global leadership for operational updates.

- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).

- 15+ years of operational leadership experience, preferably in a technology-driven organization.

- Proven track record in finance oversight, IT management, HR and office administration.

- Strong knowledge of India labor laws, compliance, and statutory requirements.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships across global and local teams.

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
