We are seeking an experienced HR leader to manage the People, Industrial Relations, and Administration function at a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, workforce stability, shopfloor engagement, capability development, and efficient site services, while upholding organizational culture and productivity.
Key Deliverables
Compliance: 100% adherence to labour laws, Factories Act, and statutory obligations; audit-ready documentation and timely filings.
Workforce Planning: Robust manpower availability across production, maintenance, utilities, QA/QC, ETP, and logistics.
Capability Development: Execution of training programs covering technical, safety, and behavioural skills with measurable outcomes.
Employee Relations: Transparent grievance handling, industrial harmony, and proactive communication forums.
Administration: Cost-efficient and reliable site services—canteen, transport, security, and housekeeping.
HR Analytics: Regular dashboards on headcount, hiring funnel, attendance, attrition, training, and safety metrics.
Core Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance & Governance
Ensure full compliance with Factories Act, CLRA, ID Act, EPF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory provisions.
Maintain registers, returns, and licences; act as the company representative in labour inspections.
Monitor upcoming labour code implementations and align policies/SOPs accordingly.
Conduct internal HR audits and implement corrective actions.
2. Workforce Management & Payroll
Manage attendance, rosters, overtime control, and contractor muster rolls.
Validate payroll inputs to ensure accuracy and statutory compliance.
Track manpower cost KPIs—absenteeism, overtime %, and cost per unit of production.
3. Talent Acquisition for Technical Functions
Build hiring pipelines for operators, technicians, and engineers through ITIs, polytechnics, and local clusters.
Partner with manpower agencies; manage SLAs and sourcing strategies.
Conduct trade tests, assessments, and pre-employment medicals.
4. Training & Capability Building
Maintain a live skills matrix and execute an annual training calendar.
Deliver statutory safety training (firefighting, first aid, material handling).
Run supervisory development and behavioural programs to strengthen shopfloor leadership.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
Operate a transparent grievance redressal system with time-bound closure.
Organize communication forums, suggestion schemes, and employee connects.
Lead disciplinary actions per Standing Orders; act as POSH ICC Presiding Officer.
6. Administration & Site Services
Oversee canteen, transport, housing/hostel, and visitor management.
Govern security and housekeeping vendors with SLAs and periodic audits.
Ensure issuance of PPE, uniforms, and safety gear.
7. HR Systems & Reporting
Drive HRMS adoption for time office, claims, and employee services.
Publish monthly dashboards covering hiring, attrition, productivity, and training effectiveness.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
10+ years in Plant HR, IR, and Administration within large manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience managing statutory compliance and contractor workforce (300+ employees).
Exposure to sites with turnover of ₹300–500 crore.
Education:
MBA/PGDM in HR/Industrial Relations.
LLB or Diploma in Labour Laws preferred.
Skills:
Strong command of labour laws and factory compliance.
Expertise in Time Office, payroll, and contractor governance.
Proven ability in technical hiring for shopfloor roles.
Skilled in training design, facilitation, and capability building.
Proficiency in HRMS & MS Excel; fluency in Gujarati or Hindi desirable.
