Job Description

Finance Head (Banqueting & Catering)

Reports to:

Drive strategic and operational leadership of finance functions for Banqueting & Catering businesses in Chandigarh, ensuring compliance, profitability, and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial planning for banquet and catering operations.
Lead and manage accounts, payables/receivables, cost control, revenue optimization, and internal controls.
Review and analyze P&L, cash flows, and operational metrics specific to banquet and catering projects.
Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulations; coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.
Implement financial best practices, controls, and ERP systems tailored to banqueting/catering.
Partner with operations and sales teams to plan profitable events, track margins, and control expenses.
Support leadership in decision-making with clear financial analysis and recommendations.
Mentor and supervise the finance team; drive a culture of continuous process improvement and financial integrity.
Manage vendor contracts, payment cycles, and timely disbursements to suppliers and service partners.
Conduct variance analysis, highlight cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

CA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent, with experience in hospitality/banqueting/catering.
Minimum 8–12 years of overall finance experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in budgeting, compliance, MIS, financial modeling, event/catering cost controls.
Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or hospitality ERP systems.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
High integrity and process orientation; experience in audit and statutory reporting.
