Role Overview

Head of Finance (CA)

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in finance with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a strategic mindset to partner closely with the CEO, Board, investors, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business growth goals.
• 
  
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• 
  
• Provide financial insights to the CEO/Board to drive strategic decision-making.

Financial Control & Operations

• Oversee accounting, audits, taxation, and statutory reporting.
• 
  
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure robust MIS and financial governance.
• 
  
• Implement efficient systems for cash-flow, cost management, and profitability tracking.

Treasury & Capital Management

• Manage liquidity, treasury operations, and working capital.
• 
  
• Support fundraising initiatives (debt, equity, co-lending, securitization).
• 
  
• Ensure optimal capital utilization and healthy balance sheet management.

Risk, Compliance & Audit

• Ensure full compliance with RBI and other NBFC regulatory requirements.
• 
  
• Drive strong risk management frameworks covering credit, operational, and financial risks.
• 
  
• Lead internal and external audits with timely closure of observations.

Stakeholder & Investor Engagement

• Build strong relationships with banks, rating agencies, auditors, and regulators.
• 
  
• Present accurate, timely financial performance to the Board and investors.
• 
  
• Support investor relations and due diligence for fundraises.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of relevant finance experience.
• 
  
• Strong background in NBFC/BFSI sector with exposure to MSME lending preferred.
• 
  
• Proven expertise in financial planning, compliance, treasury, and risk management.
• 
  
• Experience in debt/equity fundraising and stakeholder management.
• 
  
• Ability to lead teams and establish high standards of financial governance.
