About the role


We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Lead / Director of Finance to manage and oversee the organisation’s financial operations. The role involves budgeting, financial planning and compliance, sales and accounting operations, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate must be super confident with financial tools and processes, organised, and comfortable working in a dynamic start-up environment.


Who would be a good fit

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • While CA certification is not mandatory, it would be given a higher preference.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in accounting and financial management practices.
  • Experience in a management position.
  • Proficiency with modern accounting tools and software.
  • Good understanding of US GAAP and other financial reporting processes is essential.
  • Adaptability in high-growth, collaborative, fast-paced environments.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, monitor financial performance, and provide insights to management.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and maintenance of financial systems and ledgers.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.), coordinate audits, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with similar US reporting processes and regulations. Work with relevant hired agencies in the US to ensure the same.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, track variances, and prepare cash flow forecasts
  • Support financial planning for investors, boards and other strategic engagements.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, identify financial risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support leadership in decision-making through financial analysis, cost optimisation, and process improvement initiatives.


Good to have

  • Background in early-stage or rapidly scaling startups (land-and-expand models).
  • Knowledge of IFRS and other international (non-US) processes and practices.
  • Exposure to long-term financial planning and corporate strategy development.


Location: Delhi NCR preferred. Other Indian locations can be considered.
