Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Chartered Accountant (CA)
with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting, preferably within a multinational environment. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle/NetSuite preferred), and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. This position also includes leading a team of 4-5 members and supporting process improvements, automation, and financial planning initiatives.
Requirements
- MBA (Finance) or Semi-qualified CA
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally in a multinational, shared service, or fast-paced environment
- Strong expertise in AR, AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, MIS, and variance analysis
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite Oracle or similar)
- Experience in leading small teams or mentoring junior staff
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to process improvements, automation, and internal control frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Operations: Manage end-to-end AR and AP processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and timely collections
- Reconciliations: Oversee bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and clearing of open items on a timely basis
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare ageing analysis for AR/AP/WIP, MIS reports, and provide insights for decision-making
- Month-End Close: Lead closing activities, including accruals, provisions, prepayment amortizations, depreciation entries, and journal postings
- General Ledger & Compliance: Ensure GL accuracy, adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments, regional finance teams, and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations
- Audit & Controls: Support internal and statutory audits by providing reconciliations, schedules, and documentation
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps, recommend solutions, and drive efficiency through standardization, automation, and best practices
- People Management: Supervise and guide junior team members, review their work, provide training, and ensure quality delivery
- Forecasting & Budget Support: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities in coordination with finance leadership
- Communication: Draft professional correspondence and maintain clear communication with vendors, customers, and internal teams
