Your Role at a Glance

As the Event Sales Manager, you will lead both proactive and reactive sales efforts for our social and corporate event spaces. From high-profile diplomatic gatherings and elegant weddings to intimate celebrations and corporate conferences, you will be the key connector between guest visions and flawless execution. Your expertise in menus, costing, event planning, competitive market insights, and client engagement will help position The Imperial as the preferred venue for luxury events in New Delhi. With sharp negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the hospitality market, you’ll drive revenue performance while delivering service excellence.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive proactive sales through targeted outreach, sales calls, networking, and sales blitzing across key markets, corporate accounts, and event management companies.
  • Respond to incoming leads promptly, providing well-crafted proposals, accurate costing, and tailored event solutions that reflect guest needs and hotel standards.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections and client meetings to showcase venues, discuss menus, and present event possibilities with clarity.
  • Negotiate contracts with commercial awareness, ensuring optimal revenue while maintaining the luxury positioning of the hotel.
  • Collaborate closely with the banquet operations, F&B culinary, finance, and rooms teams to coordinate event details from planning through execution.
  • Analyze sales performance, conversion ratios, competition behaviour, and market opportunities to support strategic business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with top event planners, wedding consultants, production houses, and corporate decision-makers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, forecasting, weekly updates, sales reports, and compliance with hotel standards.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and new event concepts to keep The Imperial competitively positioned.
  • Represent the hotel at exhibitions, networking forums, and industry platforms to strengthen brand visibility.


Who You Are

  • A persuasive and dynamic sales professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in event sales, banquet sales, or MICE within luxury hospitality.
  • Strong negotiation abilities with a sharp understanding of costing, menu knowledge, and event budgeting.
  • Adept at converting inquiries into confirmed business with speed, accuracy, and relationship-focused selling.
  • Commercially intelligent with the ability to analyze trends, assess competition, and identify new opportunities.
  • Experienced in working with key event management companies, social planners, and corporate clients.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple client requirements simultaneously.
  • Confident in representing a luxury brand and delivering experiences aligned with high hospitality standards.
