Job Summary
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
List also the main Key Performance Indicators on which the incumbent on which be evaluated Execute electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks including preventive, predictive, reactive, trouble shooting, calibration, programming/ editing, test and inspection activities.
- Contribute and provide technical input to specify, design, simulate, test, install and commission equipment and systems in co-operation with maintenance and projects requirements.
- Supervise external contractors when they are working and/or executing tasks relating to the maintenance. Coordinate E, yearly maintenance activities and contracts (Fixed wire testing, HV maintenance, Earthing test, PAT testing, etc.)
- Manage high voltage network (33KV) onsite, as a Senior Authorised Person. Responsible for coordinating switching activities and permits for HV and LV infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for the maintenance team on a day to day basis.
- Cross functional duty to provide absence cover for the Control and Automation Engineer.
- Isolation and making systems/equipment safe to work on for the incumbent and others if required.
Adherence and contribution to maintain maintenance management policies and framework. This includes updating technical detail, job guidelines, carrying out and recording risk assessments and method statements, using and updating CMMS workflow and database, authorisation to work and lock-off, drawings, financial plans, projects list etc. Responsible for preparation of root cause analysis for breakdowns and preparation of failure mode analysis of equipment. Implementation of new procedures to improve equipment effi ciency and reliability. Preparation of budget
- Responding to after hour consultation and providing technical support during equipment failures.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent subject with 10 years’ proven experience and competency in similar role in heavy production / manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of electrical, control and instrumentation systems (i.e. level sensors, pressure transducers, etc.)
- Should have Electrical Supervisor License for up to 33 KV from A.P. Electrical Licensing Board
- Knowledge on PLC programming preferably on Siemens platforms (PCS7)
Good understanding of different communication protocols (Profibus DP/PA, HART, Modbus and Ethernet)
