Job Description

Teamwork and support

Working together with Project Lead Engineers and Project Layout Designers to realize the electrical & instrumentation part control and automation part of the project.
Supports procurement for technical evaluation of supplier offers and subcontractors regarding MCR related procurement.

Realizing the automation part of the project:

Defines the cable routing and cable trays in the layout.
Defines and selects the electrical cabling and executes cable calculations.
Defines and selects various electrical instruments, sensors, control panels, gauge panels, turbine panel integration, power distribution panel, ...
Design and selection of various types of flowmeters required for flow measurements and control like steam, water, air and flue gas, compressed air, cooling water etc.
Works according to governing national and international codes for electrical and instrumentation standards.
Knowledgeable of protection classes, insulation classes and hazardous classes for panels and instruments.
Cooperates with vendors who are making electrical schemes and control panels.
Does FAT of control panels.
Can define and select switch gear, motors and frequency drives,...
Participating in the compliance & conformity exercise of the MCR related part of the plant.
Preparing P&ID.
Creates part lists, bill of materials and datasheets ready for RFQ on relevant electrical parts and instrumentation.
O&M manual

Site realization and feedback:

Carrying out the FAT for control panels for the projects (e.g. Subcontracted equipment or programs).
Assisting with commissioning of the energy plants if required.

Health & Safety:

Respect of H&S legal requirements and others (ex. Standards) and H&S VYNCKE requirements.
Responsible for assuring that an installation can be build and used in a healthy and safe manner

Other responsibilities:

Acting as the project's internal contact person when it comes to electrical matters.
Assisting Customer Services on electrical and instrumentation matters.
Participating in the creation of manuals.
