Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Estimation Phase:

1. Study tender/enquiry documents to understand electrical, instrumentation, and automation requirements.2. Perform basic sizing calculations and prepare BOQ for transformers, MCC, VCB, VFD panels, cables, UPS, batteries, chargers, etc.3. Develop instrument schedules, I/O assignments, and other relevant documentation.4. Prepare technical offers and fill data sheets for electrical and instrumentation scopes.5. Conduct cost estimation with vendor backups for electrical and instrumentation equipment.6. Attend site visits and technical meetings with customers/consultants.

Detail Engineering Phase:

1. Prepare SLD, load lists, equipment layouts, instrument schedules, control philosophy, logic diagrams, and I/O assignments.2. Design tray layouts, lighting layouts, earthing layouts, cable schedules, and interconnection drawings.3. Develop enquiry documents for all electrical and instrumentation equipment.4. Collaborate with clients/consultants to obtain document approvals.5. Coordinate with vendors and conduct technical evaluations of sub-vendor offers.6. Assist in budget preparation for electrical and instrumentation activities.7. Work closely with the purchase team for ordering equipment and materials.8. Manage interactions with consultants and clients such as NTPC, BHEL, TCE, DCPL, Desein, and EIL.
