Job Title: Assistant / Dy. Manager Planning Location: Raghunathpur – West Bengal Department: Project Planning & Control Reports To: Project Manager / Planning Manager Experience: 6 – 10 Years in EPC projects preferably Power Plants Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to support the scheduling, monitoring, and controlling of EPC power plant construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, by coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain integrated project schedules MS Project for engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Prepare baseline schedules, monitor progress, and update schedules regularly to reflect actual project status. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC) to gather inputs and ensure alignment with project timelines. Identify critical paths, delays, and potential risks; propose recovery plans and mitigation strategies. Prepare look-ahead schedules (weekly/monthly) and monitor milestone achievement. Track progress through S-curves, histograms, earned value management (EVM), and performance indices. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and client stakeholders. Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against project milestones and deliverables. Support claims management by documenting delays and disruptions with factual evidence. Participate in project review meetings and client coordination meetings. Coordinate with cost control teams for alignment of schedule and budget. Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements related to planning and progress measurement. Key Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 , MS Project, and MS Excel Solid understanding of EPC project lifecycle in power plant construction (thermal, renewable, combined cycle, etc.) Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis Ability to manage and coordinate schedules across multiple disciplines and stakeholders Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience in preparing MIS reports , dashboards, and progress presentations Familiarity with contract terms and conditions, especially related to planning and delays
