Position: Senior Engineer QA/QC (Civil)

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Job Summary

Senior Engineer – QA/QC (Civil)

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor

  QA/QC activities at site

  as per approved QAP, ITPs, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Carry out

  inspection and quality checks

  for:
• Earthwork, excavation, backfilling, and compaction
  
• Road works (GSB, WMM, bituminous and concrete works)
  
• Railway formation, embankment, and allied civil works
  
• Industrial and infrastructure civil works
  
• Ensure

  material inspections and testing

  (soil, aggregates, concrete, steel, bitumen) in line with

  IS codes and MoRTH specifications

  .
• Coordinate with

  site execution teams, consultants, and client representatives

  for inspections, approvals, and work clearances.
• Monitor

  site laboratory activities

  , test reports, and compliance with approved frequencies.
• Identify, raise, and close

  Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

  with corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain complete

  QA/QC documentation

  , including inspection reports, test records, and quality dossiers.
• Assist in

  internal and external quality audits

  and ensure compliance with quality systems.
• Support site teams in

  quality planning and implementation

  during execution stages.
• Ensure adherence to

  safety and environmental norms

  related to quality activities.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  QA/QC processes in civil construction

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  roads, railways, earthworks, and infrastructure projects

  .
• Familiarity with

  IS Codes, MoRTH specifications

  , and standard testing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret

  construction drawings and technical specifications

  .
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel, MS Word

  , and quality reporting formats.

Experience Requirements

• 6 to 8 years

  of QA/QC experience in:
• Road and highway projects
  
• Railway and infrastructure works
  
• Earthwork, excavation, and industrial civil construction
  

Preferred (Added Advantage)

• Experience in

  EPC / large infrastructure projects

• Exposure to

  ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

• Experience in handling

  site quality documentation independently
